Curated by Hower participates in affiliate marketing programs. This page explains what that means and how it affects what you read here.

What Affiliate Links Are

Affiliate links are tracking links that allow this site to earn a small commission when a reader clicks through and completes a purchase. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use one of these links or go directly to the retailer. The commission is paid by the retailer, not by you.

How Recommendations Work Here

Affiliate revenue helps keep the site running, but it doesn’t determine what gets recommended. The editorial process is the same one I used when I owned my furniture store: I evaluate products based on construction, materials, value, and patterns in real customer feedback, and I only suggest pieces I’d recommend to a friend.

If something isn’t worth the money, it doesn’t get recommended, regardless of commission rate. If two products are comparable and one pays a higher commission, the better one still wins. That’s the only way an honest publication works.

What You Can Expect

  • Honest assessments that include both strengths and weaknesses
  • No inflated pricing. Affiliate links cost you nothing extra
  • Clear labeling. Posts and pages that include affiliate links disclose that relationship
  • No obligation. You can always shop directly with the retailer if you prefer
